معرفی
Arjendu Pattanayak is a Professor of Physics at Carleton College, where he has been since 2001. He previously held a faculty position at Rice University from 1998 to 2001. His educational background includes a Master of Science (SM) from Brown University and a PhD from The University of Texas at Austin.
His research focuses on quantum mechanics, chaos theory, and their intersections, particularly in semiclassical analysis, quantum-classical transitions, and entanglement dynamics. He has contributed to studies on Rydberg systems, Duffing oscillators, and Brownian ratchets. His work often explores the dynamics of quantum systems in relation to classical chaos, decoherence, and entropy production.
Dr. Pattanayak teaches courses such as Directed Research in Physics and lectures on foundational topics like mechanics and environmental physics. His recent publications span 2024 to 2018, addressing dynamical symmetries, ordinal patterns in time series, and parametric hypersensitivity in quantum systems.
He collaborates with institutions like the University of Toronto, University of New Mexico, and National University of Singapore. His lab or research group focuses on theoretical and computational approaches to quantum chaos and nonlinear dynamics.
