Ariella Herman

Ariella Herman is a Senior Lecturer in Decisions, Operations & Technology Management at the Anderson School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles. She focuses on empowering underserved families in the United States through health literacy and project management, integrating management theory with community health initiatives.

Herman's research applies data analysis and project management to early childhood education, healthcare systems, and health promotion. She has developed multilingual training materials for the Price Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and the UCLA Health Care Institute, reaching over 140,000 families.

Her recent publications analyze trends in health literacy interventions, pandemic resilience for educators, and the role of management frameworks in sustaining public health programs. Themes include community engagement, behavioral health, and equity-focused healthcare policies.

Herman previously served as Associate Professor of Statistics at the University of Paris before joining UCLA Anderson in 1989.
