Ariel Viale

Ariel Viale is Professor of Finance at Palm Beach Atlantic University's Marshall E. Rinker, Sr. School of Business in the Department of Accounting, Finance, Economics and Data Analytics. He joined the university in 2014 after serving as an assistant professor at Florida Atlantic University where he taught undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. level courses.

Dr. Viale's research focuses on:

• Market Microstructure
• Financial Econometrics
• International Finance

His scholarly work has been published in top-tier journals including the Review of Asset Pricing Studies, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Financial Stability, and Quantitative Finance. He regularly presents research at prestigious conferences such as the Financial Management Association, Southern Finance Association, Econometric Society, and International Paris Finance meetings.

Prior to academia, Dr. Viale worked as a certified stock broker and investment adviser, providing practical industry experience that informs his teaching.

His educational background includes:

• PhD in Finance from Texas A&M University
• MS in Finance from Texas A&M University
• BS in Economics from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello

Dr. Viale received a Catholic-oriented education under the intellectual tradition of Dominican and Jesuit fathers and remains an active member of St. Therese de Lisieux Catholic Church in Wellington, Florida.
