Professor Nicholas Tay is a full-time faculty member in the Department of Finance at the University of San Francisco (USF) School of Management. His research focuses on the interplay between human behavior and market frictions affecting financial asset pricing and market stability. He employs methods like agent-based modeling, social network analysis, and econometrics. A dedicated educator, he emphasizes Jesuit values, teaching courses on investments, capital markets, and academic research skills. He has held editorial roles, including Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Asia Business Studies (2008-2010) and Editorial Board Member of International Financial Markets since 2009.
Education: PhD in Finance (University of Oklahoma), ABD and MS in Physics (Florida State University), BS with Honors in Physics (Florida State University).
