Ariel Sibert is a dramaturg, producer, and critic specializing in film, theatre, and performance, currently affiliated with Sarah Lawrence College (SLC) since 2024. She has previously taught as an Assistant Professor at Quinnipiac University and served as a Teaching Fellow at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University. Her work intersects queer theatre, digital/hybrid performance, and cybernetic dramaturgies, and she has contributed to award-winning productions like Circle Jerk, a Pulitzer finalist and Obie Award winner.

Sibert’s research explores screen-based subjectivities, performances of self, and cybernetic dramaturgies in 20th-century performance. Her collaborations with artists like Hito Steyerl and Shadi Ghaheri have been showcased at prestigious venues including Park Avenue Armory, BAM, and the Performa Biennial.
