Arianna Mazzeo serves as Professor of Design for Social and Digital Innovation at Elisava Design School and Engineering in Barcelona. She leads DESIS Lab ELISAVA within the DESIS Network, directs the Masterlab in Service Design for Place and Community Building, and co-leads TIME (Teaching Innovation through Experiments group) focused on transforming design education. Her work spans international collaborations with entities including UNIFEM, UNESCO, the United Nations, and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Her research centers on enabling smart citizens to co-design public services through social innovation frameworks. She specializes in civic co-production processes for sustainable urban development, leveraging design as a transition tool for community building and smart city initiatives.
