Ari Glage is a Lecturer at the Orff Institute within the School of Music & Art Education (SOMA) at Mozarteum University since 2006. His work focuses on rhythm’s role in music and art, emphasizing full-body approaches like body percussion and rhythmic-melodic voice techniques. He specializes in elementary music education, improvisation, and transdisciplinary design projects.
Glage studied Elementary Music and Movement Pedagogy at the Orff Institute (1987–1993), later deepening his expertise through training in Brazilian and West African drumming cultures. He co-developed the 'Integrative Drum and Rhythm Pedagogy' program with Karin Mitterbauer and led the Brazilian percussion group 'Tudo Bem'. He also trained in TaKeTiNa rhythm methodology and taught rhythm training in the Mozarteum University's Pre-College program (2009–2022).
His pedagogical innovations include 'Circle Singing' in improvisational formats and practical didactic methods for children’s music theater. His international workshop engagements further enrich his teaching and artistic practice.
