Argiro Kliamenakis is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. She holds a PhD in Marketing from Concordia University's John Molson School of Business, along with an MSc in Marketing and a Bachelor of Commerce from the same institution.
Her research focuses on reducing negative consumption impacts on well-being, society, and the environment. Key areas include socially responsible consumption decisions, ethical marketing practices, and prosocial consumer behavior. She has published in Psychology & Marketing and presented at ACR and SCP conferences.
Recent funded research includes:
- SSHRC Insight Development Grant ($53,090) on 'Wishcycling: When Consumer Recycling Goes Wrong' (2022-2025)
- Telfer grants on AI in art consumer reactions ($13,233) and voice assistants ($15,000)
Teaching specialties include Consumer Behaviour and Marketing principles. Research pillars emphasize Greener/Healthier societal impacts through ethical consumption frameworks.
