Wided Arfaoui is an architect and lecturer at the Tunis National School of Architecture and Urbanism, where she teaches architectural history. She serves as Deputy Conservator at the National Institute of Heritage, overseeing technical management of the Carthage archaeological site since 2008. She holds a Master's degree in Architecture (2012) and is pursuing a PhD on Punic domestic architecture in Carthage. Her work focuses on heritage conservation, archaeological analysis, and innovative preservation techniques.
Education: Master's in Architecture (2012, Tunis), Ongoing PhD on Punic Domestic Architecture (since 2013).
Research Interests: Punic architectural heritage, sustainable heritage management, application of digital technologies in preservation, and strategic planning of World Heritage Sites. She has contributed to EU-funded archaeological projects and collaborates internationally on Mediterranean heritage initiatives.
Publications emphasize Carthage's architectural evolution and conservation challenges. She actively participates in regional and international colloquia addressing heritage governance and cultural policy, particularly in North African contexts.
Her professional projects include the Carthage Urban Archaeological Park initiative and GIS-based heritage management systems.
