Archana Mehta is an NTT Associate Lecturer in the Department of Fashion Design & Merchandising at Kent State University's College of the Arts. She has taught since 2006, specializing in pattern making, draping, sewing, and fabric studies. Her academic background includes a Master’s in Arts from Akron University and a Bachelor’s in Fashion Design from Kent State University.

Her research interests focus on sustainable fashion practices, textile conservation, and material culture. She actively collaborates with DAWN, a nonprofit supporting refugee women in Akron, emphasizing ethical fashion practices. Notable exhibitions include 'Argyle Reimagined' (ITAA 2018) and 'Sense of Place' (KSU Museum 2018).
Award Highlights: Honorable Mention at the 2017 No Big Heads Exhibition and recognition as an Outstanding Teaching Award finalist (2012).
