Arash Abazari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Emory University. His work focuses on 19th-century German philosophy (especially Hegel), social and political philosophy, and Marxist theory. He holds a PhD from Johns Hopkins University (2017) and an M.A. from the University of Essex (2008). His research critically examines Hegel's ontology of power, the structure of social domination in capitalism, and the intersections between Fichte's philosophy and social embodiment.
Key publications include Hegel’s Ontology of Power: The Structure of Social Domination in Capitalism (Cambridge, 2020), which received extensive scholarly attention, and articles in journals like Philosophy and Social Criticism, Hegel Bulletin, and European Journal of Philosophy. His work often bridges Hegelian dialectics with contemporary political and social theory.
