Aradhna Kaushal is a Lecturer (Teaching) in Public Health at University College London's Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care. Her role focuses on designing and delivering the online MPH program. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Healthcare from UCL (2018), an MSc in Psychiatric Epidemiology from King's College London (2011), and earlier degrees in Psychology and Neuroscience from Keele University (2008-2009).
Her research emphasizes cancer awareness and early diagnosis, particularly exploring how chronic conditions, mental health, and social media influence symptom recognition and healthcare-seeking behaviors. She investigates religious/spiritual factors' impact on mental wellbeing and advocates for inclusive research methodologies involving public collaboration. Key areas include multimorbidity, health communication, and the role of digital tools in healthcare delivery.
Her recent work includes studies on ethnic disparities in pandemic loneliness, patient experiences with at-home diagnostics, and vaccine communication strategies. She has contributed to developing reporting guidelines for social media research (RESOME) and evaluated interventions to promote colorectal cancer screening in underserved populations.
Aradhna actively collaborates on projects addressing workplace policies for terminal illness, mental wellbeing interventions, and the mediating role of sleep/inflammation in depression. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing).
