April Reside is Senior Lecturer in AgroEcology at University of Queensland, affiliated with the Centre for Biodiversity and Conservation Science. She researches conservation strategies for threatened species under climate change, particularly focusing on Australian birds and bats.
Her work identifies climate refugia and develops spatial conservation frameworks. She chairs the Black-throated Finch Recovery Team and has contributed to national environmental policy reforms. Awards include the 2020 Young Tall Poppy Award for science communication.
