Apoorv Tiwari is an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Southern Denmark. His research focuses on quantum mathematics and theoretical physics, particularly global categorical symmetries and phases of quantum matter. He leads the project Global Categorical Symmetries and Phases of Quantum Matter (2024–2028), funded by a Villum Foundation grant.

- Categorical symmetries in condensed matter systems
- Topological phases and their applications
Awards:
- Recipient of the Villum Young Investigator Award (2023), supporting early-career researchers in Denmark.
