Aoife Lane

Aoife Lane is the Head of Department in the Faculty of Science and Health's Department of Sport and Health Science. She holds a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Limerick, an MA in Health Promotion from NUI Galway, and a PhD in Public Health from SETU Waterford. Her research focuses on closing gender data gaps and promoting equality for girls and women in sport, physical activity, and health. Key areas include female athlete health, empowerment through role models, and the lifelong benefits of physical activity in sport settings.
