Anđus Pavle

Pavle Anđus is a Full Professor at the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade. He has held multiple leadership roles including Head of the Biophysics Department, Director of the Institute of Physiology and Biochemistry, and founder of the Center for Laser Microscopy. His research focuses on biophysical mechanisms underlying membrane transport and neurodegenerative processes.

Education:

• Graduate in Molecular Biology and Physiology (1981), Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Belgrade
• MSc in Biophysics (1985), Center for Multidisciplinary Studies, University of Belgrade
• PhD in Biophysics (1991), Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Belgrade

His work spans biophysics, electrophysiology, and calcium signaling, with expertise in techniques like patch-clamp, confocal microscopy, and ion imaging. He has contributed to establishing doctoral programs in neuroscience and systems biophysics.
