Anupama Kundoo is a renowned architect and Professor at the Potsdam School of Architecture, Germany. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Mumbai (1989) and a doctoral degree from the Technical University of Berlin (2008). Her work emphasizes human-centric design, socioeconomic advancement, and sustainability through innovative material use and building techniques. She has taught at institutions including TU Berlin, Parsons New School, and the University of Queensland.
Research Interests: Kundoo focuses on sustainable architecture, energy-efficient infrastructure, and the integration of vernacular building traditions with modern practices. Her projects explore materiality, community engagement, and resourcefulness in addressing urban challenges. Notable works include the Wall House series and the Line of Goodwill project.
Scientific Awards: She has received the 2021 RIBA Charles Jencks Award, 2021 Auguste Perret Prize, and 2021 Building Sense Now Global Award. Her studios operate in Berlin, Pune, and Pondicherry, India.
