John Loercher

John Loercher is a Senior Lecturer and Director of the Building Science Program at the School of Architecture, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He holds a Master of Architecture from Parsons School of Design and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Buffalo. His expertise spans building performance, energy modeling, and Passive House certification. He teaches courses including Building Performance Studio I & II and leads the Building Science Capstone studio.

He coordinates the Building Science Program and actively engages in professional lectures, including the 2025 Spring Lecture Series at RPI's EMPAC Theater.
