António Fonseca

António Fonseca is a Visiting Associate Professor at the School of Education and Psychology of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. He is an Integrated Member of the Human Development Research Center (CEDH-UCP) and a consultant for the Gulbenkian Sustainable Development Program, focusing on aging and well-being.

Research Interests: Specializing in Aging Psychology, Gerontology, and Human Development, his work explores Aging in Place, Retirement Transitions, and Burnout in Healthcare. He has published extensively on topics like Active Aging, Life Satisfaction, and Psychological Assessment in Portuguese and international journals.

Publications Trends: His recent work focuses on Digital Transformation in Banking during the Pandemic, Policy Models for Aging, and Psychometric Tools for Elderly Assessment. Earlier studies address Burnout in Palliative Care, Retirement Satisfaction, and Psychosocial Profiles of Rural Elders.

Contributions: He coordinates modules in the Postgraduate Program in Social Gerontology, including Introduction to Gerontology and Brain Process and Function in Aging. His applied work includes the REATIVA Program for active aging and Gulbenkian consultancy on sustainable aging policies.
