Antti Autio is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Helsinki's Department of Geosciences and Geography, affiliated with the Faculty of Science. He is part of the Doctoral Programme in Interdisciplinary Environmental Sciences. His research focuses on social and economic geography, environmental sciences, and global development studies, particularly examining climate change impacts, gender dynamics in agriculture, and regional development in East Africa.
Autio has contributed to projects such as the EU-funded CEA-FIRST consortium and the TAITASMART environmental sensing initiative.
