Antonis Stavropoulos-Kalinoglou

Dr Antonis Stavropoulos-Kalinoglou is a Senior Lecturer in Sports and Exercise Physiology at the Carnegie School of Sport, Leeds Beckett University. His research explores exercise-induced inflammation mechanisms in both healthy individuals and patient populations.

• PhD in Clinical Exercise Physiology from University of Wolverhampton

Research Focus: Investigates interactions between obesity, inflammation, and exercise with applications for chronic disease management. Recently expanded into:

• High-intensity exercise physiology for recreational athletes
• Nutritional supplementation studies
• Development of innovative health promotion equipment
• Contributions to NICE and WHO clinical guidelines
