Antoinette Domingo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at San Diego State University. She directs the Rehabilitation Biomechanics Laboratory, researching locomotor rehabilitation after neurological injury using biomechanics, motor learning principles, and robotics. Holds a PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan and MPT from Mayo School of Health Sciences.
Her research focuses on optimizing robotic assistance for gait rehabilitation, proprioceptive feedback in balance recovery, and wearable sensors for disabled populations. Current projects examine error-based learning paradigms, exoskeletal walking efficiency, and adapted athlete performance optimization. Leads SDSU Adapted Athletics initiative and advises the Aztec Adaptive Sports student organization.
Publications demonstrate expertise in spinal cord injury rehabilitation, bionic ambulation analysis, and motor learning frameworks. Recent work explores GAN applications for mobility data enhancement and stroke detection using consumer wearables.
