معرفی
Dr. Antoine Sanner is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Building Materials at ETH Zurich, working under Prof. David Kammer on simulating polymer network failure in elastomers and gels. Previously, he completed his PhD at the University of Freiburg (2023), focusing on surface roughness effects on adhesion within the Cluster of Excellence liv MatS. His research bridges computational mechanics, materials science, and surface characterization.
Research Interests include:
- Adhesion mechanisms in rough interfaces
- Non-adiabatic processes in tribogenerators
- Multi-scale surface roughness analysis
- Simulation of elastic instabilities in soft contacts
- Computational modeling of polymer networks
His publications reveal a focus on:
- Quantifying adhesion hysteresis via roughness-induced instabilities
- Developing the contact.engineering web service for surface topography analysis
- Linking mechanical detachment patterns to triboelectrification
Labs & Collaborations include:
- ETH Zurich's Computational Mechanics group
- University of Pittsburgh experimental collaborations
- livMatS interdisciplinary projects
