معرفی
Antoine Georges (born 1961) is a French physicist and a renowned theorist in condensed matter physics. He currently holds the chair of Condensed Matter Physics at the College of France and serves as Director of the Center for Computational Quantum Physics at the Flatiron Institute (Simons Foundation). Additionally, he is a part-time professor at the University of Geneva. In 2023, he was elected to the National Academy of Sciences.
Georges earned his B.S. from École Polytechnique (1983) and completed his PhD at École Normale Supérieure (1988), where Pierre-Gilles de Gennes chaired his thesis committee. His career spans postdoctoral work at Princeton University, research roles at CNRS, and professorships at Ecole Polytechnique and College of France.
His research focuses on dynamical mean-field theory (DMFT), high-temperature superconductivity, Kondo effects, and quantum spin liquids. He has collaborated extensively with Gabriel Kotliar, Subir Sachdev, and Olivier Parcollet, advancing many-body physics through innovative quantum impurity model formulations.
