Antoine Georges

Professor Antoine Georges holds the Chair of Condensed Matter Physics, focusing on strongly correlated quantum matter such as electrons in solids and ultra-cold atomic fluids. His research explores collective phenomena like superconductivity, metal-insulator transitions, magnetism, and topological effects, integrating conceptual and computational methods including dynamic mean field theory, diagrammatic Monte Carlo, and quantum circuits. The team contributes to the TRIQS digital library and leverages significant computing resources.

He has received major scientific recognition including the 2022 Feenberg Medal and a 2013 ERC Synergy Grant. His upcoming teaching schedule includes a six-part lecture series on 'Topology and Electronic Correlations: Twisted Graphene' from May to June 2026, reflecting ongoing engagement with quantum material research.
