Antoine Cléry is a Lecturer at the Department of Biology, ETH Zürich. He specializes in RNA biology, structural biology, and splicing regulation, with a focus on diseases like ALS and mechanisms of protein-RNA interactions.
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology (2006, University Henri Poincaré Nancy 1)
- Master’s in Microbiology, Enzymology, and Nutrition (2001, top position)
- Undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry (1998-2001).
His research explores RNA structure, splicing regulation, and neurodegenerative disease mechanisms, particularly for TDP-43 and G-quadruplexes. Recent work includes high-throughput screening for ALS therapeutics and structural studies of splicing factors.
Notable scientific awards:
- French government fellowship (2002-06)
- EMBO long term fellowship (2008-09).
Cléry is affiliated with the Allain group at ETH Zürich’s Institute of Molecular Biology and Biophysics and coordinates NCCR RNA & Disease projects. His publications highlight expertise in NMR spectroscopy, RNA structure, and splicing modulation.
