Dr. Anthony Schrag is a Reader in Arts Management and Cultural Policy at Queen Margaret University (QMU), serving as Co-programme Leader for the MA Applied Arts and Social Practice. He holds a BFA, MFA, PhD, and FHEA accreditation. His research focuses on participatory practices, socially engaged art, and the intersection of art with health and policy. He has conducted residencies globally and received awards from the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Creative Scotland, and others. Notable projects include a 2,638 km walk to Venice Biennale (2015) and leading the Rural Art Network Scotland. His work employs play methodologies and interdisciplinary approaches to explore art's role in societal contexts.
