Anthony Savagar

Anthony Savagar is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Kent and researcher at the Bank of England. His research examines how firm-level dynamics affect macroeconomic outcomes including productivity and business cycles.

He developed the UK Firm Dynamics Dashboard tracking real-time business creation/destruction patterns across sectors and regions. Current projects analyze market concentration impacts on innovation efficiency and AI-driven scale economies.

Savagar advises the Office for National Statistics and UK government departments on productivity measurement and industrial policy frameworks.
