Professor Anthony Ruocco is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) and serves as Graduate Chair and Director of Clinical Training in the Department of Psychological Clinical Science at the University of Toronto. He holds cross-appointments at the Centre for Addiction & Mental Health and Hospital for Sick Children, and is a licensed psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

His research focuses on clinical psychology, cognitive-affective neuroscience, and neuropsychology, specifically investigating personality disorders, suicidal behaviors, and addictions. The Clinical Neurosciences Laboratory under his leadership explores cognition (especially executive functions and emotion perception), brain biology, and their links to mental health conditions, with an emphasis on mechanistic understanding and treatment innovations like non-invasive brain stimulation.
The laboratory trains undergraduate students in Psychology and Neuroscience, graduate students in Clinical Psychology, and postdoctoral research fellows, fostering interdisciplinary research at the intersection of clinical practice and neuroscience.
