Anthony Rosborough is an Assistant Professor of Law and Computer Science at Dalhousie University, affiliated with the Schulich School of Law, the Law & Technology Institute, and the Faculty of Computer Science. His research focuses on the intersection of law, technology, and society, particularly the Right to Repair, intellectual property, and regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies. He holds a BA in Political Science (2011), a JD (2015), and an LLM in Intellectual Property & the Digital Economy (2019, University of Glasgow).

His research examines legal and market-based barriers to device repair, interoperability, and participatory innovation. He has advised international bodies such as Canada’s Standing Committee on Industry and Technology, the European Parliament, and the Australian Productivity Commission. A co-founder of the Canadian Repair Coalition, he advocates for regulatory reforms to promote sustainable repair practices. Previously, he interned at the WTO’s Intellectual Property Division and was a visiting researcher at the University of Glasgow.

Teaching & Service:
