Anthony Rogers

Anthony Rogers is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Reading, appointed in September 2021. He serves as Director of International Recruitment and Admissions, and teaches on the LLM in Shipping Law (covering Admiralty Law and Practice) and the LLB Commercial and Contract Law. Previously, he held a 15-year senior lecturer role at City University, University of London, directing the Maritime Law Programmes in London and Greece, and teaching in Dubai. He chairs the Barcelona International Summer School in Maritime Law, now in its 19th year.

• Key speaking engagements include events at the IMO, Posidonia, and the European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats

Publications include a leading textbook on cargo transportation law and peer-reviewed articles on maritime liability, comparative commercial law, and post-Brexit legal frameworks. Collaborations include the TRILATTRADE project analyzing UK-EU-Japan trade and IP post-Brexit.
