Anthony Pinter is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the ATLAS Institute, University of Colorado Boulder, specializing in Creative Technology and Design. He holds a PhD in Information Science from CU Boulder and prior degrees from Penn State's College of Information Sciences and Technology. His research focuses on online identity management post-romantic breakups, digital data representations, and sociotechnical systems' impact on personal narratives.
He is also an Adjunct Part-Time Faculty member at Penn State and a Research Advisor for the iSchool Inclusion Institute (i3). Notable recognitions include the i3 Mentor of the Year (2022-23), ASSETT/CTL Faculty Fellow (2023-24), and a Small Grant from the Center for Humanities and the Arts (2023). His work explores how individuals navigate data remnants from past relationships, algorithmic curation challenges, and music's role in memory preservation.
Pinter's teaching spans web development, computational thinking, and data storytelling. His projects include designing break-up feature prototypes for social media platforms and exploring music's emotional significance post-breakup. He has also contributed to initiatives like the Identity Lab and the i3 Scholars program.
