Anthony Letai is a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. His research focuses on understanding how cancer cells evade apoptosis and leveraging this knowledge to develop targeted therapies. His lab invented the BH3 profiling assay, which identifies cancer cell dependency on anti-apoptotic proteins like BCL-2 and predicts therapeutic responses.
- Education: MD and PhD from the University of Chicago (PhD advised by Elaine Fuchs).
- Clinical Training: Internal Medicine residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital; Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
