Anthony Geraghty is a Professor of the History of Art at the University of York, specializing in early modern English architectural history. He holds roles such as former Chair of the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain (2015-2018) and a visiting fellow at All Souls College, Oxford (2018). His research focuses on Sir Christopher Wren, the English Baroque, and the cultural history of architecture, with notable works like The Sheldonian Theatre: Architecture and Learning in Seventeenth-Century Oxford (2013).
Education: BA (History of Art, Birmingham), MA (Courtauld Institute), PhD (Cambridge). His career includes teaching at the Glasgow School of Art (1998-2002) and extensive administrative roles at York, including Director of PhD Programmes and Chair of Graduate Studies.
