Anthony Charles is an Associate Professor in Criminology at Swansea University, part of the School of Social Sciences and the Department of Criminology, Sociology and Social Policy. His research focuses on youth justice, children's rights, and participatory decision-making processes. He is actively involved in public criminology, emphasizing the need for inclusive policies and systemic reforms that prioritize children's voices.
Key research interests include juvenile justice systems, the role of children in decision-making processes, and strategies to prevent youth crime.
