Anthony Breitbach

Anthony Breitbach is a Professor of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training and Director of Interprofessional Education at Saint Louis University's Doisy College of Health Sciences. His roles include advancing interprofessional collaboration in healthcare education and practice. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership from SLU, an M.S. in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Florida, and a B.S. in Physical Education/Athletic Training from the University of Iowa.

Dr. Breitbach's research focuses on Interprofessional Education (IPE), Collaborative Practice, Educational Leadership, and Pedagogy. His work explores how interdisciplinary teamwork improves healthcare outcomes, particularly in sports medicine and global health contexts. He has pioneered initiatives to integrate IPE into core university curricula and has led studies on student perceptions of collaboration skills.

His recent publications emphasize adapting IPE to global challenges like the pandemic, enhancing athletic trainer readiness, and addressing health disparities through interprofessional dialogue.
