Anthony Barone is Professor of Musicology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, specializing in European nineteenth and early twentieth-century repertoires. With prior appointments at Columbia University, Rutgers, and Manhattan School of Music, he teaches courses spanning music history, Wagner studies, Romanticism, and Baroque music.
Barone holds a PhD from Columbia University, MM from Eastman School of Music, and BA from Cornell University. His research examines Richard Wagner, critical theory, and reception history, with secondary interests in seventeenth-eighteenth century repertoires and English music.
