Anthony Bailey serves as Vice President for Global and Online Initiatives and founding Dean of USC Bovard College at the University of Southern California, while holding a faculty appointment as Clinical Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Marshall School of Business. He oversees USC's international operations across nine global offices, the Office of International Services, and USC Online professional programs.
His educational background includes:
- Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science at the University of Miami
- MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business Administration
- Doctorate in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania
His research and professional focus centers on Higher Education Management, Entrepreneurship, and International/Online Education systems, informed by extensive experience building global education networks. Marine Science remains a secondary interest through his active scientific diving practice and NOAA background. His work bridges academic leadership with practical business strategy in education sector transformations.
Formerly, Bailey built Kaplan International Colleges into a 44-school network across 20 countries, led medical/nursing divisions at Kaplan, launched Ford Motor Company's e-commerce venture in Brazil, and began his career at NOAA. He maintains active roles in USC's Diving Control Board and the American Academy of Underwater Sciences.
