Anthea Roberts is a Professor at the School of Regulation and Global Governance (RegNet) at the Australian National University (ANU), and a Visiting Professor at Harvard Law School. She leads the ANU Centre for International Governance and Justice and chairs the ANU Working Group on Geoeconomics. Formerly, she taught at the London School of Economics, Columbia Law School, and Harvard Law School.
Her research focuses on international law, trade and investment, global governance, and complex systems analysis. She explores how geopolitical shifts and systemic complexity shape global regulatory frameworks. Her work bridges legal, economic, and political perspectives to address transnational challenges.

She also founded Dragonfly Thinking, a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration. Her work emphasizes adaptive governance strategies and reform initiatives in international investment law, as seen in her contributions to UNCITRAL’s ISDS reform discussions.
