Anselm Wong is a Senior Research Fellow in Emergency Medicine and Toxicology at Monash University's School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health and a Clinical Professor at the University of Melbourne. His research focuses on paracetamol poisoning management, risk prediction, and global toxicology education. He leads initiatives like the Global Educational Toxicology Uniting Project (GETUP), collaborating with WHO and Public Health England to establish poison information centers in Ethiopia.
Education: MBBS, DipTox, PhD from Monash University. He has successfully secured grants from NHMRC and the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, earning awards such as the Mollie Holman Medal (2018) and the American College of Medical Toxicology's Outstanding Contribution Award (2022).
Research Interests: Paracetamol overdose treatment optimization, novel biomarkers, drug trials, and global toxicology education. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly addressing health equity through poison management in low-resource settings.
