Dr. Ingrid Berling is a Conjoint Associate Professor at the School of Medicine and Public Health, The University of Newcastle, Australia, where she has served as Associate Professor since January 2025, previously holding the position of Senior Lecturer from July 2019 to January 2025. She is also the Director of the Calvary Mater Emergency Department in Newcastle, NSW, Australia, a leading center in emergency medicine and toxicology, a position she has held since March 2022.
Dr. Berling completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Pharmacology and Bachelor of Medicine, both from the University of Newcastle. Her academic journey has been complemented by extensive clinical experience as an Emergency Physician Senior Staff Specialist since January 2021 and as a Clinical Toxicologist, Senior Staff Specialist since January 2018.
