Anoo Vyas serves as Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts School of Law and Director of its Community Development Clinic. He teaches Intellectual Property Law, Business Organizations, and leads both the Community Development Clinic and Advanced Community Development Clinic.

Professor Vyas' research focuses on the critical intersection of technology and legal frameworks, particularly examining how emerging technologies challenge existing legal paradigms. His scholarship demonstrates how legal systems must evolve to address novel technological challenges while maintaining fundamental rights and constitutional principles.
His forthcoming publications reveal a consistent pattern of examining cutting-edge technology-law intersections, with particular emphasis on digital deception technologies and their impact on constitutional rights, intellectual property frameworks, and democratic institutions. These works collectively demonstrate how legal systems must adapt to technological innovations while preserving foundational legal principles.
As Director of the Community Development Clinic, Professor Vyas supervises law students representing entrepreneurs, small businesses, and non-profit organizations in the South Coast area of Massachusetts. Clinic work includes drafting corporate documents, preparing state and federal filings, conducting legal audits, researching legal issues, and reviewing contracts. The clinic provides essential legal services while developing students' professional identity and practical legal skills through hands-on experience and weekly seminars focusing on relevant legal topics and practical skills development.
Professor Vyas previously held a position as Visiting Assistant Professor of Clinical Law at Akron Law before joining UMass Dartmouth's faculty. His educational background in both law and educational policy informs his approach to clinical legal education and his scholarship on technology's impact on legal systems.
