Annika Sohre

Dr. Annika Sohre is a Lecturer and Research Associate at the University of Basel, affiliated with both the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Economics / WWZ. She holds roles as Managing Director of the Department of Sustainability Research and Scientific Associate in the Department of Social Sciences. Her work focuses on energy economics, sustainable development, and governance strategies for reducing household energy consumption. Key projects include the ENPOWER initiative and the Sustainable Future Research Network, addressing energy vulnerability, policy design, and co-evolutionary energy scenarios. She has contributed to over 20 peer-reviewed articles since 2006, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to sustainability challenges.

• Research Interests: Energy transition governance, sustainable urban development, behavioral interventions for energy efficiency, and equity in renewable energy systems.
• Grants & Projects: Co-leading the ENPOWER Horizon Europe project (Ongoing), CoSi (Ongoing), and Energy Activated Citizens (Ongoing).
