Annika Hübl is a Research Assistant in German Linguistics at the Department of German Philology, Georg-August-University Göttingen, since October 2009. She focuses on cross-modal theoretical analysis of non-canonical narrative forms, particularly role shift in German Sign Language (DGS) and experienced speech in spoken German.
- Education: Studied German (linguistics emphasis), Journalism, and Film Studies at the University of Mainz (2004–2009).
- Current Work: Pursuing a doctorate under Prof. Markus Steinbach on free indirect discourse, combining experimental data and linguistic theory.
- Research Focus: Semantics/pragmatics interface, discourse structures, and empirical validation of theoretical assumptions in sign and spoken languages.
- Labs/Teams: Affiliated with the Courant Research Center "Text Structures" at the University of Göttingen.
