معرفی
Dr. Annika Hausmann is a Lecturer at the Department of Health Sciences and Technology, ETH Zurich. Her research focuses on mucosal immunology, host-microbe interactions, and intestinal epithelial cell biology, with particular emphasis on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Salmonella infections, and organoid models.
- Intestinal epithelial cell responses in ulcerative colitis
- Role of macrophages and neutrophils in gut immunity
- Organoid transplantation and in vivo modeling
- NF-κB signaling in inflammation
Recent work highlights the transcriptional restoration of inflamed intestinal cells in vitro, LPS-induced microbiota shifts, and immune-epithelial crosstalk mechanisms. She leads projects on Salmonella pathogenesis and serves as a mentor for early career researchers through organizations like Young EFIS and the Swiss Young Immunologists Society.
- ECCO Grant for intestinal repair research (2024)
- Key publications on hyalocyte origins and immune signaling
- Advances in deep visual proteomics and single-cell analysis
Dr. Hausmann employs KappaBle reporter mice for in vivo NF-κB detection and contributes to understanding bacterial sensing and cell fate dynamics in infection models.
