AnnieLaurie Erickson is an Associate Professor of Photography in the Department of Art at Tulane University, holding the Ellsworth Woodward Professorship in Art. She is a New Orleans-based artist and educator actively engaged in the local arts ecosystem.
Education:
- M.F.A. in Photography, School of the Art Institute of Chicago
- B.F.A. in Photography, Rhode Island School of Design
Erickson's research critically examines social and environmental issues through experimental lens-based production, merging documentary practices with conceptual art strategies. Her work investigates power structures, ecological vulnerability, and data visualization through innovative photographic techniques that challenge traditional representation.

Erickson serves on the boards of the Newcomb Art Museum, Fossil Free Fest, and Antenna, while maintaining her studio practice as part of the Antenna Collective in St. Claude Arts District. Her internationally exhibited work has received critical attention in The New Yorker, Huffington Post, Oxford American, and Washington Post.
