Annie Michaud

Annie Michaud is a Part-time Lecturer in Social Work at Nipissing University's Faculty of Education and Professional Studies. With 20+ years in child welfare, psychiatry, clinical therapy, and home care, her expertise includes mental health interventions and post-modern critiques of medical models. She holds an MSW from Laurentian University (thesis on mental illness frameworks) and a BSW from Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

Annie supervises social work students at Nipissing University and works full-time with Home and Community Care Support Services NE. Past roles include senior instructor at Laurentian University (2006–2021), teaching social work theory, child welfare, and women's studies.
