Annie Martin is a CNRS Research Fellow at the SAGE Laboratory UMR 7363, University of Strasbourg. Her research spans multiple disciplines with a focus on the intersection of law, environment, and health.
Her research interests include:
- International and European environmental law
- Regulation of chemical products and pesticides
- Health-Environment interdependence
- Space activities law
- Knowledge production methods in regulatory contexts
Dr. Martin's work demonstrates a clear evolution from space law and international trade law (pre-2011) to environmental and health regulation (post-2011). Her research approach is distinctly interdisciplinary, leveraging the multidisciplinary composition of SAGE to examine the negotiation processes of environmental and health standards in a globalized context. She pays particular attention to the sociological and political dimensions including lobbying influences on regulatory frameworks.
Her notable research contract "Responsibility, production, use and non-use of scientific knowledge: DES, a model for endocrine disruptors" was funded by the CNRS Mission for Interdisciplinarity, highlighting her expertise in the regulation of endocrine disruptors and knowledge production about chemical risks.
Dr. Martin has been actively involved in teaching at the University of Strasbourg, where she taught Environmental tax law in the M2 Environmental Law program from 2011-2016, and conducted a seminar on "Industry, market, environment, health, law and globalization" at IEP Strasbourg from 2012-2014.
