Dr. Annerieke Wolmarans is an Assistant Professor of Biology at The King's University, specializing in molecular health biology. She earned her BSc (2011) and PhD (2017) from the University of Alberta, where her doctoral research investigated co-chaperone regulation of Hsp90 and its role in cancer protein activation. Teaches cell biology with emphasis on the complexity of cellular systems.
Research focuses on Hsp90 chaperone mechanisms, exploring how post-translational modifications influence protein folding and stability in disease contexts. Current projects examine chaperone dysfunction in oncogenic pathways.
