Anneli Porri is a Lecturer and Junior Research Fellow at the Estonian Academy of Arts, Faculty of Art and Culture, Department of Art Education. She leads the joint art teacher training programme with Tallinn University of Applied Sciences.
Education:
- BA in Art History and Visual Culture (2003), Estonian Academy of Arts
- MA in Cultural Theory (2012), Tallinn University
- PhD programme in Art History and Visual Studies (2023–)
Her research focuses on art education, teaching methods for artwork analysis, and the didactics of art mediation. Her doctoral work investigates learner-centered teaching strategies to enhance visual competence in art education.
Recent publications address visual literacy, creative pedagogy, and artistic processes. She has also contributed to art criticism, exhibition curation, and educational material development.
Creative Work includes co-editing art publications and curating contemporary art exhibitions in Estonia and internationally.
